What is Xanthelasma?

Xanthelasma is a yellow/white coloured fatty growth made up of cholesterol which usually occur on or around the eyelids.

This can sometimes be an early warning sign of high cholesterol. Xanthelasma typically grows over a long period of time, although benign, many people choose to have them removed for cosmetic purposes.
