Helping you with pain, from your head to your toes

Headaches & Migraines

Headaches of this nature can be on one side or both, are often located in the back of the head and above the eyes, and of varying intensity. Certain activities and postures can worsen the headache, especially stress and sustained head position in front of a computer or at a desk.

Migraine headaches are recurrent/episodic, moderate or severe headaches which are usually one-sided, pulsating, aggravated by routine physical activity and are associated with nausea, vomiting, photophobia or phonophobia (lights and noise aggravate the condition).

Often headaches are accompanied by neck pain, with the joints and muscles of the neck actually giving rise to the headache. If you suffer from neck pain as well as headaches, you may find the two are related and be treated for both to relieve your pain.. There is evidence to show the benefit of chiropractic treatment with spinal manipulation, mobilisation and soft tissue work for these conditions.
